History of Sri Ma Sarada Devi Library, Lucknow
Sri Ma Sarada Devi Library & Free Reading Room was established in 1941. Sri Ma Sarada Library operated in Aminabad Ashrama from 1941 to 1967. It shifted it’s base to Vivekananda Puri behind Vivekananda Polyclinic and operated there till 1987. In the same year Sri Ma Sarada Library was again transferred to it’s current location i.e. inside the campus of Sri Ramakrishna Math at Nirala Nagar, Lucknow.

Sri Ma Sarada Library spread in a spacious three-storied building in the big campus of Sri Ramakrishna Math at Nirala Nagar, Lucknow. Sri Ma Sarada Library have collections of around 30 thousands books in different languages and covering wide subjects. The library is in proud procession of some rare manuscripts in Sanskrit along with books in Sanskrit. Local and leading newspapers and many magazines are offered for free for reading purpose. Sri Ma Sarada Library also offers free Reading Room and Children’s Corner with modern learning equipment, kids friendly design and furniture.
